Free Income Tax Assistance Tool

Please be aware of a new tool that helps clients find free income tax assistance anywhere in the nation:

http://extension.missouri.edu/hes/taxed/vitasites.htm

The search tool allows you to narrow your search to a state and the counties and cities within that state.

TurboTax allows you to prepare taxes from any computer, and it tens to walk you through the process. VITA sites are comprised of IRS certified volunteers that prepare taxes for individuals.

My Credit Union offers the VITA service. Members are eligible to participate free of charge if their total household income is under $49,000. If their income exceeds this amount a standard fee of $75 is charged for tax preparation. And if members would like to take on the task themselves, they can visit our website for a 15% discount with Turbo Tax.
